Hi!

About Me

Christopher Taylor at Goðafoss Waterfall, Iceland

I am a full-stack engineer by trade but my interests extend far beyond that. I like building and tinkering with new gadgets and technologies. I enjoy the outdoors, birding, nature, astrophotography, biology, photography, wine, food and beer!
I play the piano quite often, mostly ragtime piano.

Ragtime Piano

I didn't start playing the piano until I was 17. The Entertainer was the second song I memorized which I learned by watching my mom play. I was fascinated by the syncopation and unique melodies of the right hand and left hand. I became somewhat obsessed with early jazz and ragtime eventually learning to play over 30 early Americana pieces by memory. I still try to play at least a few hours a week.

My greatest passion is probably wildlife and nature photography. It has taken me to the farthest corners of every continent in the world. Below are a few of my photographs, more I have taken but more can be found on my photography website.
