Magnetic Rag by Scott Joplin (1914)

“I first began playing the piano when I was 17. The Entertainer was the 2nd song I memorized which I learned by watching my mom play. I was fascinated by the syncopation and unique melody of the right hand and rhythmic bass line of the left hand. The 3rd, 4th and 5th pieces I learned were Maple Leaf Rag, Sunflower Slow Drag and Pine Apple Rag. My thirst for learning and playing ragtime music never waned - I now play nearly 25 different ragtime pieces, most of which are listed below. (For those curious, the 1st piece I learned on the piano, was Für Elise by Beethoven)
